Biotech Interest is Alive and Well

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrint

Has this ever happened to you? You are enjoying a drink after a conference only to find yourself in a deep conversation with another attendee. Later you find out that your colleague works less than 100 miles from you! This is a story that ITN staffers have heard before.

Recently a faculty member studying proteomics and plant genetics shared just an experience. And he wants to meet more like minded people. He knows that the opportunity to partner across institutions holds many benefits from sharing resources and equipment, to making a grant application much more attractive to funders.

ITN will be planning its next Biotech Faculty Forum with this goal in mind. We will be actively reaching out faculty doing biotech research, and to regional companies doing business in this arena. We are also interested in speaking with faculty doing more “basic” research. This research often ultimately provides the foundations for business applications. In addition, the equipment and resources used may offer potentially beneficial partnerships.

At ITN we define “biotech” very broadly and find its impact in many different disciplines, from electronic records management to surgical robots, and from noise-reducing algorithms in imaging software to the latest in proteomics and genetics. Let ITN help you make the connections that can move your research and business to its best outcomes.
