Faculty, students, and businesses interested in simulation and serious games are invited to join this quarterly confab.  The informal group meets to discuss gaming industry trends, to share interesting projects, identify potential resources, and engage in plans to raise the visibility of gaming talent in the region (and occasionally eat chocolate.).

This event is hosted by the Innovation Transfer Network.

Register: Email itnwk@psu.edu with your name and contact information. Attendance is free, however, pre-registration along with a valid I.D. is required for entrance into the Voith facility.

As part of the agenda, Voith Turbo and JPL will share the details of an Android-based driver simulation and mobile learning project. Voith partnered with JPL to create a 2-D Bus simulation that lets municipal bus drivers improve their driving skills, saving municipalities money and conserving energy. The simulation is part of a larger mobile learning curriculum that instructs learners on the operations of the Voith DIWAhybrid technology. The bus simulation was developed using the following tools: Adobe Air, Captivate & Flash, as well as XML & HTML.
